How to read it
For each FEC-published 2022 House contest, sorts the published final-round candidate percentages and calculates the top-two percentage-point difference. Ranked-choice final rounds and runoffs remain the contest's final method.
Important limits
- Election.org calculates the margin bins from official final percentages; the FEC does not publish these categories as a separate field.
- A close percentage margin is descriptive and does not measure campaign competitiveness, district partisanship, recount status, or spending.
